"My research concerns EU coffee development policy claiming to empower women through increased coffee production and increasingly promoting agro-ecological/forestry approaches; coffee being a perfect climate crisis mitigating crop given its natural agroforestry/intercropped origins. My interest concerns the paradoxes and ambivalent applications of knowledge/expertise via benevolent objectives and the foreclosure of significant and contradictory bodies of evidence and the power that enables such discourse and practice."
