“Like many academics of my generation, I feel that the issue of the environment will shape academic and public debate in the decades to come. I also believe that political theory is useless if it remains isolated in its ivory tower, and therefore wish to participate in the coming debates and actively engage in these controversies to help think about a just transition to a sustainable form of society. My research on property rights has always been marked by a keen interest in the environmental aspects of this question, which I am now extending in a collective and interdisciplinary work on the living via the research seminar “Rendre le vivant politique” (REVIP) and various publications on the complex and tortuous relationships between property, control, and the environment.”
