ReSIC

"After obtaining a PhD and doing several post-doctoral studies in a biomedical context, my professional and personal experiences highlighted the need for good science communication (scicomm). I have switched my attention to the discipline of Science Communication and advocate for expansion of this field in Belgium. To professionalise, I did a Master in Science Communication at TU Delft (NL) as a master program does not exist in Belgium.

At ULB I'm involved as senior researcher in several projects related to scicomm processes that enable evidence-informed policymaking, notably in the context of pandemic management (BE-PIN) and biodiversity (NarEEPo: exploring the role of narratives in environmental evidence-informed policymaking). Through my research and teaching I hope to create more awareness for the role that scicomm has when those with different knowledge backgrounds create connections.

As stakeholders exchange scientific evidence and discuss technological development for the governance of socio-ecological transformations, my research can be relevant in facilitating these processes."
