"My research at ULB focuses on modelling and optimising energy systems using Computational Fluid Dynamics and advanced combustion. I concentrate specifically on developing decarbonisation solutions for hard-to-abate sectors, such as heavy transport and process industries (cement, steel).

This work involves the study of unconventional fuels (hydrogen, ammonia) and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create industrial digital twins.

As Vice-Dean for Transition, my interests extend to the interdisciplinarity required to decarbonise our systems. The aim is to go beyond the technical challenge alone and address the societal and political issues involved in this profound change."
