"My research focuses on the socio-ecological transformations of humanitarian aid within its professional spheres and international governance. My current research, as part of my PhD, examines the networks of expertise that shape the ecological transformation(s) of humanitarian aid in the southern Mediterranean and the Mashreq, using multi-sited organisational ethnography and visual methods. Among other things, I am interested in the circulation of humanitarian expertise, from environmental and decolonial perspectives, across North-South contexts. Previously, I focused specifically on the humanitarian governance of forced migration in Turkey, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. More recently, I have examined regional cooperation in civil protection and crisis management in the Mediterranean region (Algeria, Turkey)."
