-The Earth's crust is a surface under tension, fractured, shifting, stratified over the ages.
It is the site of slow collisions and dissolutions, of magma solidifying into rock and glaciers grinding stones. At the interface between deep time and the present, it bears witness to movements that take place on scales that are both immense and infinitesimal, indifferent to the lines drawn or names given by the maps that trace the boundaries of the known world.
Uncharted explores these liminal spaces – borders not as fixed boundaries, but as zones of transition – unstable, dynamic, elusive. They destabilise the notion of fixed separations between topographical elements, revealing superimposed layers of time and matter shaped by often imperceptible transformations.
