Should we take responsibility for eco-justice?
Louvain-la-Neuve - Maison des Langues, local MDL A.118.
— 10:45 - 12:45In this session of the GRICE seminar, we will have the opportunity to address the relationship between individual and collective responsibilities, focusing in particular on the challenges this poses for leaders of institutions (economic, academic, and religious). What does it mean for the leaders of an institution to assume their responsibilities for eco-justice and to foster a sense of individual and collective responsibility both within and beyond their roles? Can we—and how—individualize or specify collective responsibilities? Can we, and should we, practice and exercise responsibility as both discernment and virtue to achieve greater political effectiveness with a view toward transformation?
