Planetary Boundaries report

CERAC's first project involves adapting the global framework of planetary limits to the Belgian level and assessing the social impact of crossing these limits.

The first phase of this project aimed to define what a "safe and fair operating space within planetary boundaries" means in concrete terms for Belgium. In collaboration with CERAC, Climact undertook the complex task of defining these boundaries on a Belgian scale and assessing the resulting environmental footprints.

For the second phase, CEESE (ULB) and Ramboll supported CERAC on the question of the social impacts of exceeding planetary limits, by assessing the impact on health, employment and access to essential services.
