Low-tech: a way to put self-sufficiency into practice

Quai van Beneden, 22 - 4000 Liège

-

Two half-days to immerse yourself in a simple, sustainable and desirable future, explore the ‘how’ and take action — alongside experts and people who want to do things differently.

Producing and consuming only what we need — to preserve the planet’s habitability and everyone’s well-being. Low-tech is one way to achieve this. These workshops offer the chance to see it for yourself and to help you contribute to it.

On the programme:

  • Visit the low-tech studio, a replica of a 100% low-tech ‘apartment-ecosystem’ tested in real life in Paris in 2024. Not just a concept. A liveable reality!

  • Collectively explore the challenges of designing technical systems differently

  • Build a network. Meet other people committed to low-tech in Liège and elsewhere.

  • Leave with practical tips and resources to fuel your (future) individual and collective projects

Two dates, two themes in Liège

  • Friday 5 June from 9.30am to 1pm, focusing on energy and water use

  • Friday 12 June from 9.30am to 1pm, focusing on food
