— 14:30 - 16:30We certainly need to learn! In the face of today’s crises, how can we engage scientific knowledge in a genuine process of collective learning? The newsmongers move from place to place, carrying with them news of other worlds, other narratives, other forms of knowledge.
This figure invites us to consider situations where researchers allow themselves to be guided by the questions of communities other than those of scientific policy and research funding institutions. What if research were no longer about producing answers, but about becoming better able to frame the problems, together?
The Laboratory welcomes Isabelle Stengers (Belgian philosopher – Professor Emeritus at the University of Brussels) and Jérôme Santolini (biophysicist at the University of Toulouse). This discussion will be moderated by Antoine Janvier (philosopher in the Department of Political Science at the University of Liège).
