The next JUSTES meeting, ‘Urban environments under pressure: food sovereignty, housing and social struggles’, will take place on 6 March 2026 in Brussels.

This day of discussions will be an opportunity to examine the power relations that permeate urban ecology. By addressing the environmental practices of the working classes in terms of food, housing and urban nature, we will attempt to identify any socio-environmental conflicts and trade-offs that arise around these issues and examine the political and scientific implications for ecological and social justice. In keeping with the format of the JUSTES group meetings, we will bring together several civil society actors to share their experiences in the morning, followed by a discussion in the afternoon. Lunch will be provided.
