Ecologies, feminisms, religions

Louvain-La-Neuve, Place Blaise Pascal 1 - Collège Erasme, salle du conseil FIAL

— 09:00 - 17:00

This interdisciplinary and international study day will be devoted to analysing the possible links between monotheisms and the intersecting perspectives of ecology and feminist studies. We will explore the points of tension but also the new interpretations that the meeting of these perspectives brings. Is talking about Christian, Muslim or Jewish ecofeminism an oxymoron or, on the contrary, a possible and inspiring path? We will look at this question from a theological perspective, but also from the point of view of literature, poetry, sociology and philosophy.

The day will close with a presentation of the book by Charlotte Luyckx and Michel Maxime Egger: Gaïa et Dieu.e. Un écoféminisme chrétien est possible (Paris, L'Atelier, 2025).
