Ecological Civil Disobedience

14-34 avenue Jean Jaurès, 75019 Paris - locaux de Médecins sans frontières

— 10:00 - 17:00

The aim of this seminar is to analyse what civil disobedience in the context of the ecological emergency ‘does to the law’ and, in return, what the law ‘does’ to ecological civil disobedience - from the point of view of different disciplines: sociology, law, criminology, political science, etc. The seminar will focus in particular on normative circularity. In particular, it is normative circularity that will be at the heart of the discussions: mobilised by one and all - from activists to action groups, from companies to the State - the law is transformed by successive adjustments, taking account of its uses.

This first session of GERN's international seminar will be held in Paris.
