Different perspectives on genealogy, challenges and prospects

Louvain-La-Neuve, Place Montesquieu 1 - UCLouvain, Leclercq 93

— 12:30 - 17:00

At the heart of contemporary upheavals, socio-ecological transitions are emerging as a major challenge for research and collective action. This seminar aims to present CIRTES's progress in this area, tracing the genealogy and evolution of its research. Through a round table discussion, the seminar will highlight the specificities of the centre's positioning, the evolution of the themes addressed, and the collaborations that have nourished and guided reflection on socio-ecological transitions. The event will also be an opportunity to examine the methodological and epistemological challenges associated with (the reformulation of) interdisciplinarity and partnership-based research. Finally, this meeting aims to open the debate on the role of research in societal transformations by exploring the levers, obstacles and impacts of CIRTES' work on transition dynamics.
