Decarbonising Belgium: Bridging Silos, Building Futures

Campus Flagey - Studio 4 Flagey

— 18:30 - 20:00

The urgency of energy and climate transitions demands a systemic response: we must now move beyond fragmented approaches toward collaborative strategies that connect research, policy, and community action.

Throughout an evening woven together by music, dance, and poetry, you will learn about the SWIFFT collective research goals and themes and discover seven trailblazing projects linking academic research and on the ground action. By building connections, we can align research, policy, and community action, ensuring that solutions are not only technically sound but also socially just and democratically grounded.

So together, we will ask: from construction to housing, from food systems governance to energy communities, what pathways are necessary for scaling innovation to lead the way toward a cleaner, greener future for everyone?

The event will be followed by a cocktail – to pursue this evening with a chance to connect, share, and exchange ideas and projects.
